What went wrong along the way?
As the youngest of four boys and the fourteenth of thirty something cousins, I learned two things very early in life. I learned how to take a joke, and how to make one. Then came learning to walk and talk and such, and walk and talk I did.
I was always a good student. But more than frequently teachers confused my passion for dialectical dancing -combined with my love of a tie dye shirt- as a lack of interest in class.
This could have been the reason my high school counselor told me I shouldn’t apply to Gonzaga. I hail from a family of writers. As one can never avoid their fate, I graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in creative writing.
Which brought me to copywriting, the beautiful art of quippery. Full circle to the beginning of my life and the first things I learned.
